A major telecom operator announced the completion of new base stations extending mobile network coverage to previously underserved rural communities, part of a broader rural connectivity initiative.

The expansion is expected to bring voice and data services to hundreds of thousands of residents who previously had to travel long distances to access reliable network coverage.

“Connectivity is no longer a luxury, it’s essential for education, business, and healthcare access,” a company official said announcing the expansion.

The operator plans to continue rolling out additional base stations over the next year as part of its commitment to closing the rural digital divide.
