A new nationwide digital skills initiative aimed at training young Nigerians in software development, data analysis, and digital marketing was unveiled this week, with organisers targeting over 50,000 participants in its first phase.

The programme will be delivered through a mix of online modules and in-person training hubs across several states, in partnership with technology companies and vocational institutes.

“Our youth population is our greatest asset, and this programme is about equipping them for the jobs of tomorrow,” a coordinating official said at the launch.

Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years old, with priority given to unemployed graduates. Registration opens online next week and will run for 30 days.
