An annual music festival held along the Lagos waterfront drew record attendance this year, with organisers estimating over 60,000 attendees across the three-day event featuring a lineup of Afrobeats, highlife, and alternative artists.
Vendors reported brisk business, with the festival grounds hosting food stalls, fashion pop-ups, and art installations alongside the main stage performances.
“This festival keeps growing because it celebrates who we are as a culture,” one attendee said. Organisers credited improved logistics and security for the smooth turnout compared to previous editions.
Plans for next year’s edition are already underway, with talks of expanding to a fourth day and additional stage venues.
